A Day at the Resort
The day starts early. First potty break, then breakfast, before the heat has any say in it.
Weather permitting, dogs head out in groups matched by energy level and size, so they end up playing with dogs they actually click with. When a pair or a group clicks, we keep them together session to session.
Our play yard is fully chain-link fenced with open sightlines to the country scenery around us. Dogs watch birds, butterflies and the occasional neighbor's cat working the fence line — plenty to think about between rounds of play.
Dogs that like water can swim in the inground dog pool. Dogs that don't still get full run of the yard. For the retrievers, there are fetch sessions one-on-one or in a group.
Rest happens in the sheds. Each one has a TV playing dog-visible cartoons during the day — blue and yellow tones, since that's what dogs see best — and calming sounds through an Echo Dot overnight.
Last potty run of the night before everyone settles in.

Yes, current vaccinations are required before any stay. Dogs also need to be on heartworm and flea prevention — one dog arriving with fleas becomes everyone's problem in a shared yard.
